Our mission is to ensure access to state-of-the-art breast health care and to empower people affected by cancer. In 2009 we opened within Southampton Hospital, the only facility of its kind on the East End.

Until breast cancer can be prevented, we will continue reaching out to medically under-served women, funding technology that will ensure that The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center is a pioneer in its field and center of excellence.

The Ellen Hermanson Breast Center at the Southampton Hospital is proud to be designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR). Learn more about ACR accreditation .

The Center offers a wide spectrum of breast health services, including education, early detection screenings, and breast cancer treatment and support. The Center utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic techniques, including tomosynthesis — the most advanced mammography technology — ultrasound, and stereotactic breast biopsy.

No patient is turned away from the Ellen Hermanson Breast Center for lack of insurance or inability to pay for treatment .
