Southampton Playhouse Presents: OLA Latino Film Festival of the Hamptons Opening Night: MOSCAS

The Southampton Playhouse once again hosts the opening night of the OLA Latino Film Festival of the Hamptons with the world premiere of Flies, the heartwarming new drama from acclaimed Mexican director Fernando Eimbecke. 

Best known as the director of Duck Season and Club Sandwich, Eimbcke has delivered another touching character study with his trademark blend of humor and humanity. The film follows Olga (Teresita Sánchez), a lonely woman who hides from the world in her apartment. While renting out her room to a new tenant, she discovers that he’s hiding his nine-year-old son (Bastian Escobar) while his mother is in the hospital. While initially resistant to the young woman, Olga eventually grows fond of him as they form a friendship that helps them both emerge from challenging times.
